The creation process for each garment is unique to the client, influenced by factors such as material, design complexity, and other considerations. Typically, most orders take between 5-12 months to complete. For those requiring a quicker turnaround, an additional 40% up-charge will be applied to the total.
A consultation serves as an opportunity to discuss your vision for the perfect garment. While you are welcome to make a deposit in advance to secure your place in Marcela’s project line, please note that deposits are typically made after the consultation to ensure your excitement to proceed. Should you choose to place a deposit before the consultation and later decide not to move forward, a 25% fee will be deducted from your refund
During your initial consultation, we will explore your vision for the perfect garment, discuss the timeline, review fabric options, and brainstorm design concepts. If you wish to proceed, we will take your measurements and secure a deposit. At your next visit, you will have custom sketches to choose from. Almost any material you can imagine can be used for your design. If you have a garment you'd like to repurpose or fabric you already love, bring it to your consultation. While we don’t carry every fabric in our studio, we’ll present options and swatches during your consultation and source the perfect one.
Wherever you are in the world, we will ensure you can experience the luxury of a Myriam Marcela piece. While in-person fittings offer the best results, our artist has a keen eye for shaping garments from photos. Should it be necessary, a local tailor or a member of our team can travel to you for precise measurements. Rest assured, your bespoke piece will be delivered with the utmost care.
Should you need any alterations shortly after receiving your garment, please don't hesitate to reach out. We want every piece leaving the studio to be flawless. If, over time, your garment no longer fits your silhouette as perfectly as before, contact us, and we will do our best to accommodate any adjustments. Please note that not all adjustments may be possible, and it may take a couple of months until we can start working on the alterations.
Throughout the bespoke creation process, you are welcome to request changes to the design, from material adjustments to style modifications. Please note that such changes may impact the turnaround time. Significant alterations, particularly those involving material changes during the construction phase, may result in a longer delivery time. However, if you're comfortable with that, we will gladly accommodate your vision. We encourage you to share your desires as we want you to be more than happy with the final result.
